Once again this years Scottish Dog of the Year final was held during the SKC August Show at the Ingliston showground.  This years Judge, Ian Mallabar, set a fast flowing course with just enough subtle traps to catch many of the competitors out.

Moorhen and Chicks

Having a large pond in the garden means we have easy access to interesting wildlife on our door step. We have Moorhens all year round. During the Winter months we sometimes see them feeding below the bird feeders. They breed in the early spring hiding their chicks in the reeds beds around the pond.

ISDS World Sheepdog Championships

The 2011 World Sheepdog Championships were held between the 15th and 18th September at the Lowther Estate in Cumbria. Torrential rain fell during the first 2 days turning the venue into a mud bath ( a bit like Glastonbury, but for Dogs). The photographs here were taken during the semi finals on the Saturday the 17th when the rain finally stopped.

World Agility Open, 2011

Between the 13th and 15th May the first World Agility Open was held in England. Over the three days 18 countries competed against each other in both team and individual events. A huge congratulations to all the teams and competitors and especially to the members of the Scotland team who returned with with a good share of the rosettes and medals.
