Agility Photographs
Over the past 3-4 years, originally as a spectator and lately whilst passing time between classes, I have been dabbling with taking pictures of dogs doing agility. I started with a small digital compact camera which gave very disapointing results (lots of very blurred pictures and pictures of agility equipment with no dog!) and have since moved on to a digital SLR.
Most of the pictures I take get uploaded to Webshots, a free photo sharing website, so that they are available for anyone to look at. Over the last 12 months many people have suggested to me that I should sell the pictures I take. As a result of arm twisting by friends I have now decided to give this a go, but with a difference to the many professional photographers we now see at Agility shows.
If you like any of the pictures that I have taken and uploaded on to the Webshots website, please feel free to download them to your own computer. The resolution these pictures are uploaded to the site at is usually significantly lower than the original images, however, the resolution is usually more than sufficient for displaying on a computer screen or printing at 6" x 4". I have not incorporated any copyright message into the images or compressed them to the point where their quality is too adversely affected as to spoil them. If you would like me to run off a print for you, or would like to have a larger sized print, I can arrange to do this for you. The costs for doing this are outlined below. For each photograph I sell, 30% of the cost will be donated to an animal charity. It is also possible that I may have a selection of 6" x 4" prints from recent shows with me when I'm at a show so please feel free to ask to have a look.
| 6" x 4" Bordered/Borderless | £2.00 |
| 7" x 5" Bordered/Borderless | £2.50 |
| 9" x 6" Bordered/Borderless | £3.00 |
| 12" x 8" Bordered/Borderless | £5.00 |
| 18" x 12" Bordered/Borderless | £12.00 |
I don't intend to take requests to take pictures of dogs running certain courses for their owners, as this can be a significant bind on my time, I'll leave this sort of work to the professionals. For now I'm quite happy to continue snapping away randomly during a show.
If you would like to order any of the photographs please download the order form from the contacts page, fill in your details and a list of any pictures you would like and then e-mail the completed form to iain@bankheadagility.co.uk. I will respond by e-mail to confirm I have received the form and will either deliver prints to the next show (which would be my prefered method as it cuts down on packaging) or I can arrange to get them mailed via first class mail, the postage cost will obviously depend upon the size and number of prints requested.
